I am a Freelance Writer. I am always searching the net to find the next great site that I can find
freelance design jobs at. Well, I was surfing around and I found this one...I can put up my profile and have people find me or I can search for a job and put a bid on what I want to work on. This is really helpful because even if I don't have any active bids I can still be called on to work in the
freelance design workforce.
I've used elance myself a number of times, but from the other side. I've used it to hire a few different folks (some graphic designers for logos, and also to help find a solid programmer). All I can say is be careful. I've had a 33% positive experience there. 1 guy worked out great, 1 guy (which was actually a team) just didn't get what i was going for and we ended up just stopping in the middle (they did try and try though, it just wasn't a good mesh), and 1 guy completely and absolutely ripped us off.
ReplyDeleteSo if you do take on any work, make sure to have it set up via escrow so you're both covered. And be as communicative as you can with the employer so they know exactly what you're doing/thinking, etc.
