That darn packaging kids toys are in...

Okay, I hate to say it but sometimes I hate the holidays! I hate having to put together the toys that day on Christmas....and today reminded me of that. My son's birthday is in November and then we have Christmas and then my daughter's birthday is like a week after Christmas. We get used to a lot of presents around here and I have to get used to putting them all back together.

Today, we went to Toys R Us. My husband promised my son a toy...well you know you can't go in that store and not walk out anyway. There just happened to be a blowout sale that day too. It was so busy...I never saw so many screaming kids.

It took me a degree in engineering to put it together. Why??? Oh why do they make everything so hard to put together....grrrr.
Looks amazing doesn't it?? NOT!! Looks nice and cheap!

i hate having to build the darn things. i always have extra pieces and inevitably...the things i build, well, they fall apart. god forbid my kids should be able to wait until their dad gets home...not that he can put the things together any better than i can...usually...he has more left over pieces than i do!!!! that's why i like to buy action figures...nothing to put together...just take them out of the package and viola...the kids can play. if only they'd make action figures indestructible!!!

I know, when my son was 15 he cut his wrist trying to cut open one of those hard plastic shells that it takes a chainsaw to get through for his little brother. Ahh.. the memories, right?
