Great Gift Ideas

Monday, December 17, 2007

Christmas Eve is a week away!! Have you got all your Christmas shopping done?? Still don't know what to get those certain people in your life??? Well here are some sites that can help you with that!

Gift Suggestions- NPR offers up some fine suggestions for holiday books and CDs this year. There are some good choices here, although those people on your gift list who read paperback novels with images of shirtless pirates clinging to model-quality housewives might not be too entertained.

Gifts Under $50- Real Simple has collected numerous gifts that cost under $50 - and this isn't your run-of-the-mill stuff you grab off the first aisle shelf either. There are a lot of original and creative gifts here that may help you break the Pocket Fisherman pattern you've established for yourself.

Gift List- There are some interesting items on the gift lists at kaboodle.com. And if you aren't into that whole giving thing as much as you're into the getting part, check out the gift list tool, which allows you to pick and choose items you'd like to see under the tree

Gift Wizard- Granted, the gift wizard at findgift.com isn't perfect, but it's a good place to start for people who literally have no idea about what to get for the people on their gift lists. There are some creative choices available once you narrow down your options.

A great new site I found!

I think that sometimes at Christmas people are wondering if they have been regifted. I don't think I am....but there is this cool site that people tell their stories about being regifted. Regiftable.com tells those stories and you can even win for the greatest stories you tell. Here is an example....

Christmas gift time at a family member's home can be filled with regifted items. She thinks no one is on to her regifting. The last gift she gave me was a severing dish holder without the dish. When I opened the gift and looked at it, I knew it was the gift that I had purchased for her and had given her several years before. When I said there is no dish with the holder, her reply was, "It was in there when I wrapped the box". The box was the same box that held the dish and holder when I gave it to her. This was not the first time that she gave me a regifted item, set of Christmas glasses with one missing, a set of bath towels with the towel missing. She always says that all pieces were in the box when she wrapped and doesn't know what happen. Amazing how items get out of a wrapped box.I don't mind regifted gifts, as long as all of the pieces are there. -by Ann H. From: Lawrenceville, GA

So check it out.....
