This is something that my nightmares are made of!!!

AN 81-year-old man in the small Chilean village of Angol shocked his grieving relatives by waking up in his coffin at his own wake, local media said today.

When Feliberto Carrasco's family members discovered his body limp and cold, they were convinced the octogenarian's hour had come, so they immediately called a funeral home, not a doctor.

Mr Carrasco was dressed in his finest suit for the wake and his relatives gathered to bid him a final farewell.

"I couldn't believe it. I thought I must be mistaken and I shut my eyes," Mr Carrasco's nephew Pedro told the Ultimas Noticias newspaper.

"When I opened them again, my uncle was looking at me. I started to cry and ran to get something to open up the coffin to get him out."

The man who "rose from the dead" said he was not in any pain and only asked for a glass of water.

Local radio also surprised listeners by announcing a correction to Mr Carrasco's death announcement, saying the news had been premature.

Today has been a long day. We had got a new cat that looked exactly like Gilbert but he was brutal. He would keep meowing and hissing and attack us all. I didn't like that situation with our baby Belle kitty and the kids. That's all we need is that the kids get attacked by this cat. He looked like he was abused before. The place we got this cat was from someone that said it was a stray. But he didn't act like it. He sure was upset to be with us and near us! We ended up bringing him away.

But now my husband called to get a kitten. This way we can train it the way we want. We get to go pick up the furry thing after supper. I will post pictures may be tomorrow. Poor Belle is growling at us now! We didn't even do anything to her! But I really do miss Gilbert. He used to sleep with me every night and now Belle sleeps with my husband. That leaves me kittenless. :(

BEIJING (Reuters) - A Chinese couple tried to name their baby "@", claiming the character used in e-mail addresses echoed their love for the child, an official trying to whip the national language into line said on Thursday.

The unusual name stands out especially in Chinese, which has no alphabet and instead uses tens of thousands of multi-stroke characters to represent words.

"The whole world uses it to write e-mail, and translated into Chinese it means 'love him'," the father explained, according to the deputy chief of the State Language Commission Li Yuming.

While the "@" simple is familiar to Chinese e-mail users, they often use the English word "at" to sound it out -- which with a drawn out "T" sounds something like "ai ta", or "love him", to Mandarin speakers.

Li told a news conference on the state of the language that the name was an extreme example of people's increasingly adventurous approach to Chinese, as commercialisation and the Internet break down conventions.

Another couple tried to give their child a name that rendered into English sounds like "King Osrina."

Li did not say if officials accepted the "@" name. But earlier this year the government announced a ban on names using Arabic numerals, foreign languages and symbols that do not belong to Chinese minority languages.

Sixty million Chinese faced the problem that their names use ancient characters so obscure that computers cannot recognise them and even fluent speakers were left scratching their heads, said Li, according to a transcript of the briefing on the government Web site (www.gov.cn).

One of them was the former Premier Zhu Rongji, whose name had a rare "rong" character that gave newspaper editors headaches.

So here I am...still sweating up a storm. Air conditioned stores are my favorite place to be! I went out with my son last night to MacDonalds...I love that Big Mac....he didn't eat much but we took the french fries home and he ate them later. He loves the cold french fry. Silly guy. It is day three that my daughter is gone. It seems weird without her around. MY son is driving me crazy. He cries for her most of the day. IT is STILL very hot here. I wish that we could just have a little relief...it has been overcast most of the day so I hope it rains. I am making supper for the two of us but I would rather just go across the road to Subway! Subs have always been my downfall. When I was pregnant with my daughter I would walk 5 blocks to just get one Subway sub.

It is so hot here still...last night we had a tornado warning. It was the first for this city. I was out on the patio with my husband watching the clouds swirl. I thought at least I would see the tornado coming. But it disappeared and we didn't get that much rain even. Today it is supposed to rain all afternoon. I hope it happens because then the humidity will go away.

My daughter is off to camp. She left yesterday. It is crazy here without her. I have to do all her chores plus play with my son. Man oh man...he isn't making it easy for me to work. I just started a new writing job this morning and I was all nervous about it...and Ty wouldn't let me do anything!

Sometimes working at home really sucks. My house is my big office....

Today was actually a nice day. It was almost something back to my normal day. I have a heck of a time trying to get back into my old routine. And now my daughter is off for the summer. We went to the library and then we went to the park and played. I got the latest Harry Potter book, The Half Blood Prince so I will be ready when the new one comes out. I have been reading the buzz on the book and I am wondering what will happen. There is no way that they will keep the ending secret because it is her last book. Who knows though may be she'll surprise us. Go girl power!!! (I have nightmares while reading Harry Potter but never from Stephen King...weird eh?)
