Today was About Patience...
Saturday, May 24, 2008
Today...was all about patience for me. We are on our third day of rain in a row. The kids are starting to get antsy. So when we were at the grocery store earlier I already knew my son would cry and cry for that toy he wanted. My husband usually gives in...but not today! I told him you need to say no and stick with it...or else you will only make the big mistake worse. So, my husband stuck by it...except he ignored everyone else too. We walked out of the store ... WITHOUT...the toy that my son was crying for.
On the ride home he screamed and screamed...I was so proud of my husband for not losing his patience because I am sure he was near to it. My son would stop....and then start up again. He carried on into the house until he realized, no his Daddy would not say, "Come on, let's go get you something." If he did I would be so mad! But, I tell you hearing my baby cry is so hard...all you wanna do is hug him forever. But, if you show him that he'll know he'll get anything out of you for the rest of his life.
Now, to solve the problem with us having to lay down with him every night to sleep...maybe we should take it one day at a time....

Other Peoples Kids Are Cute!
Thursday, April 24, 2008

I was skipping work the other day ... I went to a neighbors house and she so wonderfully put songs on my Ipod. (I got an Ipod for my birthday!!) Even my emzy.collins music!! But I digress...
So while she was playing with my Ipod I was playing with her son...He was so cute. He would just laugh and laugh at me. What a pick me up to the down days I have been having lately. Just having someone else laugh at you is an awesome feeling. And besides...when I left her house he stayed there and I went back to my own quiet house.
It's kinda scary I won't ever have a baby running around my house anymore...but the next little babies will be my grandchildren...and how fun will they be???

We went to see Horton Hears A Who
Friday, March 28, 2008
So I did it...I ventured into a world so unlike my own. The movie theatre! I tell you I have never been to a big city theatre before!! And I have lived in this big city for 8 years now! It's weird how you buy the tickets yourself. WEIRD! And then the food is way overpriced! For the three of us to go it would have been $100 easy. But oh no, we got in free!
So we sat at the movies with our large popcorns and large drinks in hand...Ty says...mom...I have to go to the bathroom. We were in the middle of the aisle. Now I'm a little freaked out when people sit beside me so I didn't really want to go. But we did.
The movie started and the kids couldn't get over how huge the screen was.
The movie was awesome. I almost cried at the end.

I bought a new camera yesterday...and I was so excited to put some pictures up. It's a Canon and is 8MP with 10x zoom. This was a picture on the wall I had...I took it from the other side of the room...you can't even tell! (Don't my husband and son look delish??)
Here is Belle!! Isn't she looking great?? It was on the vivid setting. I think I am going to love this camera.

It was so cold yesterday....
Tuesday, January 29, 2008
Yesterday, we had a really bad storm...and by really bad....I mean chilly winds. It was -50C with the windchill. I kept the kids home, not because school was cancelled, but because I wasn't going to go out there!!! The kids got bored quick and I was so glad I found this site!!!

The kids don't want to go to school today because they want me to print more things for them!!!

I had to share this cute picture I found. I grew up around pigs most of my life. I can't say I ever wanted to do that though!! I found out at really young age that pigs bark when they are hungry.

It's sooooo cold out!!
Monday, November 26, 2007
It's snowing here on and off today. I like the snow, it makes me feel all Christmasy...but not today! The wind is crazy...and that makes me cold...and if I get cold...I don't get warm. I stay cold and shivery the whole day.
I used to have to walk to work in this insane cold. It was -50C that day with the windchill and all I kept trying to think as I was walking against the wind was Hawaii, Florida...anywhere warm.
When your hair turns to icicles its damn cold out.
Well, its not that cold out today...The weather channel says it's only -10C with the windchill...it feels worse than that. I was out waiting for my son's bus earlier and it wasn't coming. It was horrible because all the kids were crying they were so cold. I started hugging the other kids to warm them up. It was so sad...those kids broke my heart!! The bus came about 5 minutes after that!! Thank goodness!

Working at home...
Sunday, October 28, 2007
I am a stay at home mom plus I work at home. I am constantly writing on the computer and going to various websites to help me make ends meet. Is there an easier way to do this. Yes, there probably is, but for now this works for me.
I start my day at 7 am. I get breakfast for the kids and keep my eyes closed. Then I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. Then I get on the computer I check my emails first. There is usually hundreds waiting for me. I delete all the ones I don't have time to read. Then I log onto blogger.com to update my blogs. I am rocking in the celebrity blog world. That's why I'm not here much anymore. I have been working on promoting my blog.
Then I think about doing my paid work. I have these little freelance jobs that don't pay much but they are something and they are giving me experience writing. I write articles for a parenting site, I am rewriting a manuscript for someone who is trying to write a manual for parents to help their kids off of drugs and I am doing blog comments under some one else's name. These don't seem like a lot but I takes patience to go through with them.
Then lunch time hits for my son. I make it at 11 for him because we leave for the bus at around noon. He always watches his Rescue Heroes during lunch!! I take him to the bus at around noon and when the bus comes I can start my afternoon for myself. I go to the grocery store and buy the little things we might need for supper. Then I go home and sit in front of the computer again. It seems like most of the day I sit here and really nothing ever gets done.
I go back out at around 3 pm to get the kids. My afternoon seems to fly by. Then the kids go outside when they get home. They are always wanting to play outside! I make supper and get them in. That is something in itself!!!
But soon they unwind and its time for bed. They like to cuddle with the cats of course!!
